The White-spot
Hi!
This is a Sperm whale that we are seeing on the last days.
It's very easy to identify him because of the white spot near to the dorsal fin.

The last days....
Hello!!
The days are passing and we are not having time to up-to-date this blog.
On the last day we are having very good day at the sea.
Lots of whales, common dolphins, risso’s dolphins, stripped dolphins, spotted dolphins and, the best of all, beaked whales. Unfortunately, it was not possible to identify the species of beaked whales.

Whales on Saturday!
Hello!!
Saturday, at the first sight the sea condition for the look outer was not exactly good.
After some time, we find some commons dolphins. They were feeding and moving a lot.
We don’t stay much time with them, because the look out find 3 sperm whales!!
They were moving slowly and then dive and show the flukes!!!
Very nice, has usually.

Atlantic Spotted Dolphins!!
Hi Lads!!
Yesterday we saw Atlantic Spotted Dolphins for the first time this season!
This species is one of the ones that appears on the summer, when the water starts to get warmer.
It was two very big groups (around 100 dolphins each).
We hope to see them more days because they play alot…

by the way. allthough we saw only two young whales, i had great fun and will come again.

Last Saturday.
Last Saturday was fantastic!!
Se sea is like oil, very, very calm. No wind...realy great!!
We saw lots of dolphins. They play a lot with the boat, they jump, bow riding, everything...
And, on the end of the trip, we go to the ilheus das cabras, and enter on the cave. Inside the water is completely full with jelly fishes!!
What a great day!!!

Another underfull day!
Hi lads!!
Today we have another underfull day!
We go out to times. On the morning trip, we start to see bottle-nose dolphins, a group of around 30-40, very calm with some babys.
After that we find a huge group of common dolphins (more than 100) with lots of babys!!
On the way back t marina, we find a juvenil sperm whale, close to the shore.
After the lunch we only saw 3 fin whales, and again, very close to the shore (less than 2 miles).
Hope to have more days like this!!!

Dear ? and ? (I don't know your names!!!!!!!!!!!),
here some pictures I took during our jeep safari on Terceira (May 11).
We really enjoyed the day! I've taken a lot of pictures (and made some
movies), I selected these two for you. (...)'shows' all the passengers of that day
(except myself of course, since I took the pictures)
PS: on second thought therefore one more picture of my wife and me at
the start of the whale watching tour at Pota Delgada which was a big
success as well), so that you won't forget us!
PS: after that tour the Portuguese cup-final (Sporting L. - Porto) was
played. Which one of you was happy?
